I built Impostor Watch because typo checks were not enough.
I'm Joe Raine, founder of Raine Security. I protect companies from cyber threats for a living, and I kept seeing the same gap: the services available to smaller businesses mostly checked for simple misspellings of a domain. Criminals do not stop at spelling mistakes.

Looking beyond the spelling
A misspelling is only one way to look like your business.
A swapped letter or missing character is worth finding, but a convincing fake might add a word such as "accounts", "secure" or "login", use a different domain ending, set itself up to send email, or copy the real company's sign-in page.
Each detail can look harmless on its own. Put them together and a customer may pay a fake invoice, a supplier may send information to the wrong person, or an employee may enter a password into a copied website.
Look at the whole picture, then explain what actually matters.
I wanted a service that looked beyond the spelling of a web address and protects small businesses on an increasingly dangerous internet.
Impostor Watch uses our proprietary detection engine, BrandGuard, to combine public domain and certificate records with checks for working websites, email capability, copied brand signals and exposed business credentials. It then sorts the harmless coincidences from the findings that deserve attention.
Careful automation, with human help when you ask for it.
Automation helps us watch far more than a person could check by hand. BrandGuard scores and triages findings using the evidence it can gather, rather than passing a stream of raw warnings straight on to you.
If the evidence is uncertain, we say so. If you want a person to look at a finding or help with the next steps, you can ask us.
Protecting companies is my day job.
“The monitoring, the way findings are assessed and the advice available when you ask for help are shaped by the same practical experience I bring to my work through Raine Security.”
