Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Raine Trading Ltd (trading as Raine Security), company number 16869486, registered in England & Wales with its registered office at 12 Baywell Close, Solihull, B90 4UR ("we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Impostor Watch website and service ("the Service"). By signing up for or paying for the Service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to do so.

1. What the Service does

Impostor Watch monitors public records — including newly registered domains, public SSL/TLS certificate logs, DNS records and public breach data — for signs that someone may be impersonating your business or that your monitored credentials may have been exposed. When we find something we consider worth your attention, we tell you by email in plain language.

The Service is external and passive: we only look at information that is already public, or that you have asked us to check. We do not access, scan or interact with your website, email, servers or internal systems, and we do not require any credentials to them.

2. Your responsibilities and authorised use

You must only ask us to monitor domains and email addresses that you own or are otherwise authorised to have monitored. You confirm this when you set up monitoring. You agree not to use the Service to harass, target or gather information about businesses or people you have no legitimate connection to, and not to use it for any unlawful purpose. Misusing the Service in this way is a breach of these terms and may result in us suspending or closing your account.

You're responsible for keeping your account login secure and for the accuracy of the information you give us, including the email address where we send alerts.

3. What we do and don't promise

We work hard to surface genuine impersonation and exposure risks and to keep false alarms low, but the Service depends on public data sources and automated analysis. Because of that:

  • We cannot guarantee that we will detect every impersonating domain, fake site, phishing attempt or credential leak, or that we will detect any particular one before it is used.
  • Findings are provided for your information. Deciding how to respond — including whether to report or act against a third party — is your decision, and any action you take against a third party is your responsibility.
  • The Service is not a substitute for your own security measures, legal advice, or insurance.

The Service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent the law allows, it is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including your statutory rights as a consumer, where they apply).

4. Plans, pricing and payment

We currently offer:

  • Impostor Watch Monitoring — monthly, at £20 per month. Additional domains beyond the first five are £2 per month each.
  • Impostor Watch Monitoring — annual, at £200 per year: the same service, paid a year at a time, which works out at about £16.67 a month. Additional domains beyond the first five are £24 per year each.

Both plans include monitoring for up to 5 domains. You choose monthly or annual when you subscribe; we can't switch an existing subscription between the two part-way through, so if you want to change plan you'll need to cancel and subscribe again on the one you want.

Our prices carry no VAT (Raine Trading Ltd is not VAT-registered). Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to Monitoring you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method the recurring fee, including any per-domain add-ons, at the start of each billing period — each month or each year, depending on your plan — until you cancel. We may change our prices, but for existing subscriptions we'll give you reasonable notice by email before a change takes effect.

5. Cancellation and refunds

How to cancel, what happens when you do, and when a refund applies are covered by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, the website, our reports and the software behind them belong to us. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service and the reports we provide for your own business purposes. The findings and reports we deliver to you are yours to use for those purposes; you may not resell or redistribute the Service itself.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we may occasionally need to suspend it for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may also change or discontinue features. If we make a material change that significantly reduces the Service, we'll let active subscribers know.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time (see the Cancellation & Refund Policy). We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms — in particular the authorised-use requirements in section 2 — or if we're required to by law.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for losses caused by impersonation, fraud, phishing or credential exposure that we did not detect or did not detect in time, given the nature of the Service described in section 3.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
